This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided on it by Fire Retail B.V. The effective date for these terms is 28/06/2018; publishing a new version nullifies all previous versions. E-commerce Software

Lightspeed

Our webshop is developed with software from Lightspeed. Personal data that you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. Lightspeed has access to your data to provide us (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Lightspeed is obliged under the agreement we have concluded with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include SSL encryption, a strong password policy, and secure data storage. Lightspeed reserves the right to share collected data within its own group and affiliated partners to further improve services. Lightspeed observes the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data.

Payment Processors

CardGate

We use the platform of CardGate to handle a (part of) the payments in our webshop. CardGate processes your name, address, and residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. CardGate has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. CardGate reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the parts of CardGate's service for which they engage third parties. CardGate does not store your data longer than legally permitted.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews through the platform of WebwinkelKeur. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide your name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us, so we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. Shipping and Logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for many of our deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the case that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

DHL

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL for delivering (mainly to addresses in Germany). It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with DHL. DHL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the case that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.

DPD, Bpost

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of DPD and Bpost for deliveries to Belgium and various other European countries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with one of these providers (DPD or Bpost). DPD or Bpost uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the case that DPD or Bpost engages subcontractors, they will also make your data available to these parties.

External Sales Channels

Marktplaats.nl

We sell (a part of) our articles via the platform of Marktplaats.nl. When you place an order through this platform, Marktplaats.nl shares your order and personal details with us. We use these details to handle your order. We handle your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of Data Processing

General Purpose of Processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of our service. That is, the purpose of the processing always directly relates to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use these data to - other than at your request - contact you at a later time, we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data are not shared with third parties, other than to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. Retention Periods

We keep your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means we maintain your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you communicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to forget. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we need to keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have created following your assignment.

Your Rights

Under the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as the data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can invoke these rights.

In principle, to prevent misuse, we send copies and copies of your data only to your email address already known to us. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to Data Portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you carried out by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days.
