This 'Black Leaf' Ice Bong with Spiral Perc (Blue) is a fairly simple spiral percolator bong made of thick and heat-resistant borosilicate glass ("scientific glass" or "laboratory glass") with a diffuser downstem, a comfortable mouthpiece and a stable round foot. The spiral ensures proper cooling and filtration of the smoke, and you can even add ice cubes thanks to the ice spikes in the cylinder. A great feature of this spiral percolator bong is that it has a reinforced ironclad downstem socket or "grind", which makes it much more durable and less susceptible to damage (whereas the socket is usually one of the weakest points, but not with this piece!)

The great thing about the strong, heat-resistant glass is that you can clean it with hot water and rinse it under the hot tap without having to worry about shattering the glass. It also ensures a good lifespan, and if treated normally, this bong can easily last for decades.

But there's more to this bong than just high quality glass. Of course it looks great, partly thanks to the blue spiral, but it also does a great job at providing a smooth, aromatic smoke. This begins when the smoke enters the bong through the diffuser downstem, which spreads the smoke through the water and generates hundreds of small bubbles when you start inhaling. The surface area of the smoke is increased, and the water cools and filters the smoke much better than without a diffuser downstem. The turbulence looks really cool, but it actually does a great job at improving the quality of the smoke. Many impurities are filtered out, and remain in the bong water (not in your lungs!). Another great advantage of the diffuser downstem is that it reduces the noise. Have you ever tried to smoke a regular bong (without diffuser) at night, trying to not wake up your parents or significant other? If so, you know how much noise a bong can make when you're trying to be stealthy. The diffuser downstem drastically reduces the bubble noise, and makes it easier to smoke without other people noticing.

After the first smoke/water chamber, the smoke travels up into the spiral percolator (which is also filled with water). Here the smoke is cooled and filtered once again, to make the smoke more smooth and aromatic. The optical effect while taking a draw is amazing.
